KEVIN P. McCANN
M.Ed, CLC, Certified Life Coach, Administrator
Kevin P. McCann brings over 29 years of experience in administrative and
supervisory roles in hospital, private practice, and managed behavioral
healthcare settings to his role at Insights of New Orleans. His background
includes several years as a school counselor, several as Program Director
of an inpatient psychiatric hospital, and 16 years as a Clinical Case
Manager and Regional Director for a nationally-recognized managed
behavioral healthcare company. Kevin provides services for individuals,
couples and families, working collaboratively to explore and define present
problem situations and to develop future goals focused on promoting
positive change. Believing that each client is resourceful and possesses
the skills to maximize those resources, Kevin seeks to provide support and encouragement as the
client develops solutions and strategies for addressing their particular circumstances and needs.
Along with being a Life Coach, he provides oversight and administrative support to the staff and
associates of Insights of New Orleans, maintaining all clinical and business records and all
credentialing, licensure and insurance matters. Additionally, Kevin is the Executive Director of Focus
on Families, Inc., a non-profit company providing counseling services, family-based activities, and
other interventions to be responsive to and supportive of families with special needs. He and Sue
pursue funding opportunities which will promote and enhance those services being provided families
in their educational, work, spiritual and social communities.

SUZANNE E. MCCANN
LPC-S, LMFT, LAC, Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor, Clinical Director
Sue McCann has over 27 years of experience providing services to
individuals, couples, and families in private, hospital, and outpatient
practice settings. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor,
a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, a Licensed Addictions
Counselor, and a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor, specializing in
helping counselor interns and therapists to acquire expertise in working
with families using evidence-based, creative interventions. More recently,
Sue became an Ayurvedic Practitioner approved by the National
Ayurvedic Medical Association (NAMA), and she employs a varied
assortment of techniques to treat illness and promote general well-being.
Sue is highly regarded by her colleagues for her diligent training and extensive experience as well as
her propensity to share her skills with other professionals through the multiple training opportunities
offered by Insights of New Orleans. Sue has delivered over 80 presentations including state, national,
and international conferences as well as for the administrators and management personnel of a
Fortune 500 company. Additionally, Sue has published an article on trauma recovery in Play Therapy
magazine in collaboration with Dr. Rise VanFleet of the Family Enhancement and Play Therapy Center
in Boiling Springs, Pennsylvania. Sue has completed intensive training in Sandtray-Worldplay
Therapy and is an Experiential Play Therapy Supervisor/Trainer as well as a qualified Intensive Filial
Therapy Trainer. She developed a highly specialized treatment protocol in Experiential and Sandtray
processes to focus on addressing the various complex needs of persons of all ages impacted by
death, relationship issues, disability, loss, behavioral challenges, addictions, and the identification of
specific services to support families during difficult times. In addition to her work at Insights of New
Orleans, Sue is the Clinical Director for Focus on Families, Inc., a local non-profit organization serving
children and families in the greater New Orleans area. She is a NGY-certified Children’s Yoga
Instructor and is dedicated to improving parent-child relationships through innovative mind/body/spirit
techniques.

NIQUETTE KEARNEY
MSW, LCSW
Niquette Kearney, MSW, LCSW, recently joined the team at Insights as a
Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a widely varied background. Niquette
has worked with individuals of all ages, from infants to older adults. After
focusing her college and Master’s level studies on psychology and social
work at the University of Colorado and Tulane University, she cultivated
her beginnings in the mental health profession as a hospice social worker
in the New Orleans Area.
Following Hurricane Katrina, Niquette moved to Tennessee, where she
served as a case manager assisting other evacuees with relocation,
eventually serving as a therapist to children, adolescents, adult individuals,
and couples. Through these experiences Niquette developed an array of
skills and expertise in Solution-Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, crisis intervention,
psychoanalysis, play therapy, grief counseling, and Narrative Therapy. Through her affiliation with
Insights of New Orleans and the DBT Psychotherapy Network, Niquette continues to expand her
knowledge and experiential foundations, including the implementation of techniques such as
Experiential Sandtray Therapy and Child-Centered Play Therapy. Working with individuals with a
variety of presenting issues, Niquette approaches each session compassionately and with empathy,
viewing her clients as whole people with real lives and real circumstances that bring them to therapy.
She appreciates diversity in humankind, and seeks to assist others to embrace their lives more fully
and comfortably.
ART SCUDARI
M.Ed, NCC LPC
Art Scudari, NCC, LPC has provided counseling services for over
fourteen years. He brings a wealth of experience to combine with his
varied skills: Mr. Scudari worked six years in law enforcement, directed
the Jefferson Parish Crisis Intervention team for three years,
conducted child protection investigations, and has most recently
provided family counseling and school counseling services in schools
and private practice locations throughout the New Orleans area. Art
draws from his experience and strengths in providing supportive
counseling services to pre-adolescents, adolescents, adults, families,
and couples. Currently Mr. Scudari is a middle-school counselor with
the Jefferson Parish Public School System, and makes himself available to see clients at
Insights of New Orleans in late afternoons/early evenings as well as on weekends.
